Yes, I'm Still Alive

I could not believe it when I saw that I had not posted for almost 6 months. The reason I haven't been writing wasn't Facebook this time, though. It was running. Training for Cross Country started in June, and it went through November. I steadily improved over the season with only one minor injury. I ended at the District race with a time of 19 minutes and 48 seconds for the 5K (or 3.1 miles). I then took two weeks off to rest my calves, then jumped right back in. By that point, I was significantly slower, but improved quickly. I caught up to where I was a few weeks ago, and hope to continue to improve. This week was the first week of training for Track. I originally was not going to do it because I wanted to train for longer distances than the ones in track, but I changed my mind just in time. The official season starts in February.

back in buisness

I was looking forward to being really organized and productive this summer, but once again I realize that I only have one week left and I still don't have my Eagle, I still haven't made a movie, and I still haven't beat my friend in one on one basketball. Every summer I get my hopes up, but I never accomplish anything. On the bright side, I'm getting used to waking up early, every morning I practice waking up as early as possible, eating breakfast, showering, getting dressed, making a lunch, and brushing my teeth before 7:40. So far I have been doing pretty good, but the rest of my day is still a nostalgic blur.

More pictures that wouldn't fit on the last post

I made the mistake of taking more movies than pictures, so I'll try to eventually get all the good movies in, but it might not happen.

Counselors messing around

Zack and Chris (I am 95% sure)

I made a movie of a bunch of people taking pictures.

EFY

Here's my EFY company.

I just got back from the most amazing week of my life. It was AWESOME. The counselors were nice, my roommates were cool, and we had a lot of fun. At the end is a song we all improvised.

My counselor, Mikey, studying his schedule.

Some more counselors.

This is a kid named Coller.

My roommates, Grey, Matthew, and Tym (with a Y).

That annoying screeching sound is me. I'm dressed in black on the right.
By far the best part of EFY was the testimony meeting on Thursday night. I can't describe it, but I can tell it was life changing for a lot of people. I don't know a single person there that didn't enjoy it. I'll put more pictures on later, but they won't fit on this post.

Sunrise, Sunset

For those of you unfortunate enough not to be familiar with Fiddler on the Roof, the title of this post means: Time flies. I had no idea that it had been so long since I posted. I haven't really been doing anything for the past two months and ten days, but I'll think of something to say.
Life is pretty good right now. Summer is almost here. My band (Ambassadors of What) is going awesome. I just discovered the Shins. I am enjoying everything. Except for how fast it's going. I'll post again soon with a bunch of pictures.

To read list

Now that battle of the books is over, I can read everything I want to. I am going to make a list so I don't forget.
1.Don't Eat This Book (It is like super size me, only a book)
2. The Da Vinci Code
3. Skeleton Creek (Chapter one is a book, chapter two is a movie, chapter three is a book, etc.)
4. The Tipping Point (not quite sure what it's about yet)
5.Fast-Food Nation (See number one)
6. The last two books from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.

I'll keep you posted on which ones I actually finish.
